Advice for physicians with Board of Medicine investigations, Health Department investigations, licensing complaints, administrative complaints and hearings, emergency suspensions, etc. Attorney for physicians and medical professionals with licensing issues in Michigan and Florida.
Being a doctor is a very difficult and rewarding profession. You have worked hard all of your life. Often twelve to sixteen hours a day. Your trained to make difficult decisions. Calling competent legal counsel when your license if threatened is one of those difficult decisions.
Talking to the investigator without obtaining counsel often only makes matters worse. If you have received a phone call or an investigative letter from the state licensing board or the Department of Health, do not talk to the state investigator before you retain counsel.
If you have already spoken to the investigator, please contact me Ron Chapman as soon as possible. The investigator has one goal. To collect sufficient facts to prove that you violated one or more licensing regulations. Do not help the investigator by giving a confession, verifying facts or making and uninformed statement.
I have had the privilege of representing health care professionals for over twenty years. Please call me, Ron Chapman. The first thirty minutes is free. Together we can and will protect your license and your livelihood.
