Eric Nordan comes to Chapman Law Group with a strong background in healthcare compliance and fraud defense. With over a decade of experience as a licensed pharmacist coupled with his tenure as a lead auditor for the Michigan Medicaid Pharmacy Fraud/Waste/Abuse and Compliance Audit Contract, Eric has a deep understanding of what Michigan pharmacies can do to avoid legal troubles.
Before starting his own practice, Eric’s role with Michigan marijuana law played a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance for marijuana-related businesses. Eric’s solo practice not only handles marijuana law, but a range of healthcare compliance matters, including AKS; Stark; Civil Monetary Penalties Law (“CMPL”); HIPAA; Pharmacy Benefit Managers (“PBM”); Drug Supply Chain Security Act (“DSCSA”); and federal audit protection. Eric is also an audit analyst specialist, particularly when it comes to DOJ, HHS-OIG/MEDIC audits.
Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1992 from The University of Michigan, followed by his Bachelor of Science in Medicinal Chemistry in 1994. Shortly after receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy in 1994, Eric became licensed with the Michigan Board of Pharmacy and worked extensively in local, in-
store pharmacy operations. In January 2018, Eric graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School with his Juris Doctor and began his journey in the legal field.
