Jonathan Lanesky has 20 years of experience in representing and defending health care professionals in a variety of legal matters. As a senior attorney in the civil litigation and corrections practice, Jonathan focuses on professional liability, medical malpractice, licensing, and general business. He is also leading our entry into the cannabis industry.
He is passionate about the evolving field of medical marijuana law and has been an advocate for care givers, patients, and physicians. As the industry continues to grow and regulations increase, Jonathan keeps current on the Michigan Marijuana Act and the Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act, including licensing strategy, business planning, entity formation, municipal ordinances, licensing preparation and application development. His extensive knowledge allows him to assist prospective cannabis business entrepreneurs navigate Michigan’s new commercial market.
Jonathan’s experience also includes representing and defending insurance companies and their insureds in a variety of matters including, professional liability, PIP, home, auto and contractual disputes. He is a Licensed Insurance Broker and served as Vice President of Marketing and Claims for Professional Casualty Association while the carrier was becoming an admitted carrier in the State of Michigan.
