Malak Y. Beydoun is an attorney of the Professional Licensing and Regulatory Affairs practice. Malak defends healthcare providers of all specialties when a complaint is filed against their license with the state of Michigan. She also provides legal counsel to those facing Health Professional Recovery Program (“HPRP”) referrals or regulatory investigations.
Following her internship with Honorable Judge Charlene Elder of the Third Circuit Court in Detroit, Malak gained valuable experience as a law clerk where she was involved with legal research, depositions and mediations, discovery, and client interaction. These opportunities fostered Malak’s ability to use both critical and creative thinking to craft a defense for her clients.
While earning her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School, Malak participated as board member for the Middle Eastern Law Student Association and a Jaffe Transaction Law competitor. As she completed her J.D., Malak conquered her thirst for knowledge by working toward her Master of Business Administration in Finance, which she is anticipated to receive this coming December.
Malak summarizes her pursuit of a career in health care law by saying that it “brings both mental stimulation and emotional rewards”. Coming from close medical ties, she believes that those who dedicate their lives to caring for others should receive fair and diligent representation.
