Matthew C. Murray is an attorney with the White Collar Defense & Government Investigations team to advocate for licensed healthcare professionals against allegations of health care fraud, Anti-Kickback violations, and controlled substance-related crimes. Matthew not only brings a fresh view to the team, but also valuable experience and dedication to the field.
As he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Michigan State University, Matthew was an intern with the State of Michigan Governor’s Office of Urban and Metropolitan Initiatives. This experience pivoted the trajectory of Matthew’s career away from the political landscape and toward the legal field. He felt that his skills would be best suited to support those who had been afflicted by the injustices of the system.
After completing his undergraduate degree in 2019, Matthew began working toward his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During this time, Matthew was a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Sean F. Cox at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. During this time, he had the opportunity to attend virtual hearings, gaining firsthand insights into the intricacies of criminal and civil matters. His thoughtful analysis of counsel’s arguments demonstrated his ability to critically evaluate legal strategies and arguments.
Matthew has demonstrated his legal prowess by conducting comprehensive research across various practice areas. His ability to distill complex legal issues into succinct and informative legal memorandums showcases his proficiency and attention to detail.
