For nearly 20 years, Mori Hall has dedicated her career to the compliance sector in healthcare law. Working out of our Chicago branch, Mori analyzes complex regulatory matters impacting the delivery of care, in addition to developing compliance, privacy and training programs for healthcare providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, telemedicine companies, and medical device corporations, along with advising on federal and state agency investigations, corporate integrity programs, HIPAA/HITECH, and provider/payor audits.
In addition to having an expertise in federal requirements for Medicare and Medicaid, Mori has been at the helm for client matters involving international regulations, such as Health Canada DME clearance rules, the UK Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
She also has a vast background in healthcare business development and planning, including asset purchase agreements; mergers and acquisitions; strategic alliances; and risk assessments for a varied type of stakeholders including urgent care clinics, providers, vendors, and medical device manufacturers.
Mori’s previous work experiences includes co-leading a healthcare and privacy law practice, in-house counsel for a non-profit university and medical center, and providing government consulting services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) and the Federal Drug Administration (FDA).
She is an active member in the American Health Law Association, the Health Care Compliance Association, and the International Association of Privacy Professionals. In addition, Mori is one of five Chapman Law Group lawyers to have earned an LL.M. in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law — the top school in the U.S. for health care law.
Mori works with clients all across the U.S., as well as cities, counties, and communities in and around the Chicagoland area: Chicago, Evanston, Schaumburg, Aurora, Naperville, Joliet, Waukegan, Wheaton, Orland Park, and Elgin, as well as as Cook County, Lake County, DuPage County, Kane County, and Will County.
