For Necia Logan, being a defense litigator means representing healthcare professionals as ethically and zealously as possible. It is something that requires empathy first and foremost.
“A great attorney has the potential to have a dramatic and positive impact on the life of a client, which I have seen firsthand throughout my career,” she explains. “I want to provide them with the caliber of representation that I would expect from an attorney working on my behalf.”
Necia is a litigator in Chapman Law Group’s civil litigation and correctional law practices. She handles medical malpractice and healthcare-related civil claims, on behalf of physicians, correctional healthcare facilities, and mid-level practitioners.
Her legal background includes defense litigation for nursing home/assisted living matters as well as med-mal cases. Necia spent more than half of her 23-year legal experience as a plaintiff’s side med-mal paralegal, a career choice she says was inspired by coming from a long line of family members who made their living in the healthcare field.
“I believe that my experience, both on the plaintiff’s and defense sides, combined with my education, experience, compassion, creativity, and perseverance, makes me a formidable opponent,” Necia says.
She is an active member of The Florida Bar, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
