Ron Chapman II is speaking today at the ACI’s Summit on Controlled Substances in Washington DC where the focus is on Effective Compliance Programs.
Chapman will be co-hosting a pre-conference workshop, Building and Enhancing Your Controlled Substances Compliance Program, for those compliance experts who want to strengthen their internal programs. He also will lead a discussion on Keeping up and Complying with Evolving State Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs to make sense of the many state mandates and how they affect health professionals.
Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacies, manufacturers and distributors all have a role to play in combating the opioid abuse epidemic. Federal and state authorities are targeting those who do not comply with the evolving rules and regulations. This summit discusses how to build and enhance your company’s controlled substance compliance program and prepare for and pass a DEA inspection. Participants will also hear about the policies and task forces being created to fight this epidemic and understand the ramifications of recent state and Federal enforcement actions.
