Case Result: After Felony Conviction, Nursing License Reinstated as Suspension is Dissolved

Registered Nurse

Primary Issue:
A Michigan nurse’s license was suspended due to a felony conviction involving sexually explicit images, an offense with possible permanent revocation. Our client retained Chapman Law Group, having already served their sentence and desiring to comply with the public health code and preserve their nursing license. The conviction was reported to the State of Michigan, Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), which immediately moved to suspend our client’s nursing license.

We successfully negotiated an arrangement to permit the immediate reinstatement of our client’s nursing license following the assessment by a mental health professional deeming our client safe with probation.

Areas of Law:
Nursing License Defense
LARA Investigation
Criminal Defense
Summary Suspension Orders
