Case Result: Nurse Accused of Calling in Fraudulent Prescriptions; Investigation Dismissed

Registered Nurse

Primary Issue:
A Michigan nurse was accused of calling in fraudulent narcotics scripts to a pharmacy. The nurse was terminated as a result of the allegations and faced a Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) investigation.

Benefit of Using Chapman Law Group:
Our attorneys conducted a separate investigation prior to meeting with the state investigator. During this investigation, we were able to show that another nurse was using our client’s identity to call in the fraudulent scripts. We presented our information to the state investigator and was able to get the investigation dismissed.

Our licensing defense attorneys had the entire investigation dismissed before the issuance of a formal administrative complaint against our client’s nursing license.

Areas of Law:
LARA Investigation
Nursing License Defense
Drug Diversion
