2021 marks Ron’s fourth appearance on the Michigan Super Lawyers list during his healthcare defense law career, while Wedad makes her debut on the Rising Stars list.

Wedad is an attorney in Chapman Law Group’s national health care compliance practice group. She works with healthcare practices, facilities, and other related entities on matters including the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law violations; concerns over Medicare exclusion; HIPAA/HITECH data breach matters; compliance with the DEA; reimbursement disputes; and telemedicine.
In addition to skills in healthcare compliance consulting and advising, Wedad has strong experience in healthcare civil defense litigation for medical practices, government entities, and correctional facility healthcare contracting firms. Her track record contains successful defense-side medical malpractice, professional malpractice, and deliberate indifference dispositive motions at both the district and appellate court levels.
Like Ron, Wedad holds an advanced health law degree (LL.M.) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she graduated in 2021.
